Seriously...what are we doing?

Well said, I rarely post in this forum because it's full to the brim with people moaning and one-upmanship. People cutting others down so that when they're proven right they can say "I told you so" and sit on their throne of football forum excellence. What's wrong with just supporting the team and being optimistic? Nobody is saying people can't add a bit of constructive criticism here and there but saying things like "XXXX is rubbish" and "XXXX will always let us down" is just unhelpful sniping, and offers nothing towards the benefit of the team.

Anyway, I wish you luck trying to convince a whole forum to be optimistic and I hope you succeed in getting them to see how far we have come and why they should be happy with the progress we've made.

Unfortunately though, it's analogous to trying to beat off a swarm of wasps with a stick. There's always going to be the ones that keep coming back for more negativity.

I said something similar in a discussion the other day.

Sometimes on here it seems a perfect example of 'life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans'.

There's a chance THIS could be the season where we WIN the league and who wants to look back in years to come and realise you missed the fun of the ride because you were too busy worrying about future transfers that may never happen, or second guessing player selection, or getting bogged down in pointless wars with insignificant journo's?

Don't find yourself looking back in May and saying 'this was a landmark season but I never got round to taking the time to enjoy it!'

COME ON BLUES!

I know that most on here are long term City fans. I know that an awful lot on here were born post 1976 and the greatest thing that we have seen City do is win the First Division.

Today, we went away from home, and battered another team, putting us joint top of the league in December. Added to this, we have the best run coming up, a manager who has won trophies everywhere he has ever been, easily the most singularly talented squad in the Premiership, unlimited funds, a community service that was that good that we made it the front of the 2018 bid and an office team that is the envy of many, with communication to the fans seen as the most important thing.

In my lifetime, this is the greatest period in our history, and we are spending it sniping at each other on the forums. Just for once, for a change, can we not declare a truce and bask in the magnificence that is our club? This club belongs to all of us, and our hearts should be swimming at the moment.

Things are on the up boys and girls. Let's try to celebrate it

Well done Damocles!

Sadly Dam there will always be those who want to find something they don't like, or simply just want to argue.

I don't care about them, I'm just too busy enjoying Manchester City. We really could win this league this year, and but for a 5th minute sending off, we might well be clear at the top tonight, and even in that game we did enough for long periods to have won it with one short.

not to mention it wasn't technically a red card :).

I'm happy about where we are and where we're going, just look at our Neil Young appeal too, we're really doing good things and looking good too.

Amen. There's everything to celebrate just now.

I just cancelled a trip to the Caribbean over Christmas / New Year and booked to Manchester so I could see both the Villa and Blackpool games.

Maybe if you, and all those others who think like you, actually did post on here more often, then you could turn the tide on the negativity round.
