I thought I recently read somewhere that FSC picked up even more of Setanta's share of PL games. Not bothered if Setanta goes under if that is the case.

It's not shit in the U.S., it's great value for money, and we're talking about the U.S. end of things.
The competition and choice Setanta offered is good for us, especially if you like more than just football and want to avoid the wank that is MLS and below. If all we have (again) is FSC (which means no Rugby or anything else) it's going to be pretty drab. People laugh at Setanta's amateurish presenters, but FFS, FSC takes the biscuit. With both FSC and Setanta we get every single game, every week. What I'm concerned about is that if FSC continue with their arse-kissing of the MLS, we will have much less good stuff, as there are only 24 hours in a day and much they'll drop / won't pick up just for the sake of the MLS and related programming. What I'm getting at here is Setanta is good if you want to avoid all things American "soccer" related.
Now, if you're telling me that FSC will carry every single City game, fine, I can live with no rugby etc I suppose, but I doubt they will, whereas with both FSC and Setanta, I don't think between them a City game wasn't on at some point during the week. There'll be less of the foreign leagues we all like as well.

Andouble said:My cable company doesn't carry Setanta here in the US, but I have the Setanta online service, it upgraded dramatically a few months ago and its fantastic. Got that on the computer and Fox Soccer on the digital cable, FSC is an absolute must now because they are getting the Champions League in a few years from ESPN!
yes he's on ESPN. His partner Derek Rae is pure class though. Pity ESPN don't pony up the money and let them call the game live, they call the game from the headquarters in Connecticut!Brucie Bonus said:Andouble said:My cable company doesn't carry Setanta here in the US, but I have the Setanta online service, it upgraded dramatically a few months ago and its fantastic.
