Setanta crisis: US-based Blues opinions?

I think ESPN has one more year of the Chimps League before it reverts to FSC.

Bruce-if you dont want to hear Yank accents maybe spend a month in Bumblefuck, Alabama. A)You wont understand anything & B)You mightaccept the Yank accent more!!!

Also love the English commentators style much more than American style. With the American, its always more is better but with football, most of the time, less is more.

The deal starts in the 2009-10 season and lasts three years.

# Fox Sports Net will air 16 Tuesday matches from the qualifying rounds in August until the semifinal.
# Fox Soccer Channel will show two live games per week and three games on tape delay during the group stages.
# Setanta will have two live games each week during the group stages.
# FOX is looking into the possibility of using on site commentators from the international feed.
# FSC will have live pre and post game shows as well as a daily 30 minute wrap up show.
# The final for each of the three seasons of this package will be shown on Fx in HD.

My cable company doesn't carry Setanta here in the US, but I have the Setanta online service, it upgraded dramatically a few months ago and its fantastic. Got that on the computer and Fox Soccer on the digital cable, FSC is an absolute must now because they are getting the Champions League in a few years from ESPN!

How much do they charge online mate? I actually wouldn't mind subscribing to watch more football and GAA also.

$150 US for the entire year. You can also pay I think $15 US per month, but that doesn't include the pay per view events. For the $150, you get the normal coverage and the PPV coverage of WC qualifiers, lots of Champs League matches and some FA and UEFA Cup games. For some reason they can't legally carry the SPL games they show online though, which is a downfall.
