Spot on. Rico looks like Foden level talent and he played brilliantly, but Alvarez was just the match winner yesterday. Great assist for the first, brilliant run and finish for the second and created the third almost all by himself.

we are still struggling to switch between what is needed to get the best out of Haaland with what is best to get the best out of Alvarez. In the second half we got it.

They seem to use their capabilities when they need to. And they're pretty good at it.

That's a good point. They're absolutely not the same style of attacking player. But they're both very good.

Went for Alvarez for a really well taken goal, and two unselfish assists. He endured a difficult first half but didn't allow his head to drop. Great full debut from Rico Lewis too though. Deserved his standing ovation when he came off.
