If it was pre-engraved why would there be an engraver there engraving it?

I remember at the FA cup final the engraver had already engraved Manchester before the game - I feel sorry for the German engraver if Borussia Munchengladbach win the German cup again.

The non-partisan appraisal of our performance is this... we were off the pace and didn't get going despite controlling possession. Sevilla's set-up to counter-attack and play deep made the game difficult for us.

We deserved the trophy, but it was far from City at our best.

I’d add the temperature and humidity as a big factor too, quite a few tired sloppy passes as a result, even Kyle was sweating his tits off after 10 minutes which tells you a lot, all about recovery now.

Straight after the final whistle last night I caught a glimpse of an engraver putting City’s name on the trophy. It must take quite a while to do so I’m assuming there are two trophies at the ground pre engraved. Anybody know if this is a fact?

Has to be, no way he can do that in 5 minutes

Kudos to Walks last night.
I saw a video from the England camp a few months ago with him in conversation with Stones and one subject that came up was that England match and how the young lads took so much horrific abuse and he felt regret that as a senior player he didn’t step up and l liked that. My admiration only grew for him after last night, not only did he talk the talk - he remembered his words and walked the walk.

First time I have noticed a template being used, a stencil of our name, so I guess that speeds up the process considerably. Maybe it's always the case but, if so, it's never registered with me before...
