With respect how can he be fucked. He hasn't finished 70 mins for how many games. And he's a footballer. It's his job. And it's only just November. Don't buy this needs a rest bollox. Not having a go at you, just don't see the logic. Pissed off!!!
 
I am a bit worried we might be toothless in attack specially with Bony and Yaya upfront which means we won't be able to counter with enough people.
 
I think that's how Maureen thinks and it seems to have caught up with them.

Good line up imo. With both Sterling and Navas we'll be lethal on the counter attacks. De Bruyne could've played instead of Yaya but he's been looking tired lately.
 
De Bruyne was brought in with the Champions League in mind no doubt, hard to make a difference sitting on the bench.
 
Not sure who's going to create a chance in that side. Usually I'd say Yaya but he turns to dog shit as soon as he hears the CL Anthem.
 
So Yaya plays the number 10 role. Where he's useless. KDB on the bench, a guy who almost guarantees a goal or assist everytime he starts. Great line up!
 
Liking the defensive approach,probably would've put Kdb in for Yaya, although can see the logic as he's looked very fatigued in the lays few games. I expect us to surrender a lot of possession and if we go behind then we could be in trouble, hopefully that won't happen of course. Come on City!!!
 
Kdb should be playing where yaya is but I can see why pelegrini is picking him in that position, just hope the holding midfielders are holding and only 1 goes past the half way line at a time

My two guesses,
1, he was awful, frankly dreadful in that same formation against United.
2, the best we've looked all season offensively and defensively was in the first 4 games. The games where we scored freely and conceded non.

I think De Bruyne is class, but can't fault that line up. Solid, rapid on the break, everyone bar Ya Ya in their ideal position.
 
Hoping for a slight tactical tweak that will see Yaya playing a bit deeper. Otherwise, I fear the game will completely pass him by, again.
No problems with the rest of the side - solid look to it, hopefully cause them problems on the break with Navas and Sterling.
