Sevilla v City post match thread

Very very impressive performance. To produce that without the injured players bodes well for the rest of the season. For Sterling and Bony it could well be a turning point, every player was outstanding and not seen many mentions of Harts world class save at 2-1.
Ref that save, I just cannot understand why we don`t have men on the posts from corners.Does my fooking head in.

I wonder how we have done without the 'injured' players in recent times, once a team has been trained without them in it ?

I thought the ref had an excellent game overall. After the poor refereeing in the youth game this afternoon. It was refreshing to see officials not conned by player's theatrics.

Bony's hold up play was immense tonight and maybe went a bit un noticed with sterling and navas down then sides, but if bony can do that more consitanly the rotation in the side will be frightening , Aguero to come back and bony chipping with 12-15 goals!
Tbh I thought fernando made Matic and the likes look average tonight so solid cleaned up everything , power tackles strength! Was he really like That at Porto? Wow! he's come to the Party this season and has given YAYA more of liscene to get forward now. For me that's the perfect lineup for the big games bar aguero starting. MCFC!

We now have such an unbelievably strong squad. The additions of Otamendi, KDB, Sterling and Delph plus the real Fernando turning up has strengthened us massively. If we were to find a top class left back in January then the jig saw is complete.

We can fit in Kun fine, but we'll have to be creative when Silva comes back. I think Sterling and to a lesser degree KDB play better without Silva dominating the ball and controlling the tempo. Of course, all three are class players and they definitely play together in stretches but we'll need to get creative if we want to give everyone playing time.

I just hope all City fans give Navas and Bony their props after all the the stick they've had recently from certain sections claiming they aren't good enough etc. They really came through for the team tonight both had great games, Sterling, Yaya and Pellers to a lesser extent have been getting flack recently. Cant just be vocal with your criticism's you've gotta give praise when its deserved too.

I agree, but there is no reason for those three not to work together. They'll definitely interchange from:

Sterling----Silva----De Bruyne

to

De Bruyne---Sterling---Silva

to

Silva---De Bruyne---Sterling

It's something I've been looking forward to for quite some time now!

Not so sure we will sign one in January, most of the players of the caliber we need will be champions league cup tied, hopefully in the summer though
