Is there any Blue out there who can lay claim to have been at the two legendary Sex Pistols gigs at the Lesser Free Trade Hall in the summer of 1976? The first one was the "Big Bang" for the entire modern day Manchester music scene. I think most of the audience have been accounted for as time as gone by. Hook, Sumner, Morrisey, Shelley, Devoto, Wilson, Smith etc.
I would love to know what it was really like to have been at one of these two gigs, especially the first one. Legend has it there were only forty two there at that one, although it's disputed. Certainly a good number were blues.
FActory, New Order, Spike island, Madchester, The Smiths, the Hacienda....it all started here
