Sgt Alexander Blackman

I know people suffer with serious PTSD I can honestly say it can change peoples rationale quite significantly. As a percentage of the population, not many people understand what stresses an operational military tour can have on the mind and body.

To those people who think locking the guy up because he "Broke the rules" was the right thing to do.

Combat is not an area for a sane person, you are simply not in your "Right" mind when death really is a breath away, its not just the fear it could happen to you, but that you have to do it to some other poor bugger because he will be just as scared/hyped up to kill as you are.
Yes he should not have done it, but the guy that did it is not the same one sat in a cell now, he was trained to kill and let lose in our name so a little compassion is the least he deserves.

with a bit of luck he will be out soon, yes he broke the rule book however if he had not killed the terrorist this guy would have been freed by now to inflict more pain on others just like the guy released from Guantanamo bay the other month, a dead terrorist is one less IMO they don't deserve to walk the earth

yes he broke the rule book, a rule book made up from suits dining every night on sirloin steak who would most certainly piss there Knickers at the sight of combat, it beggars belief that a rule book has to be adhered to while in a combat situation but that's the way the world has gone,to many bloody do gooders around IMO

It's there to protect every soldier and we are better than the terrorists
