The group format is just so boring, playing the same opponent every year. I found last night utterly depressing, and through no fault of anybody, the competition format is tedious.

Yes, a very ordinary performance to say the least but we’ve topped the group and can pretty much lay this competition aside until February now. Our individual and collective form, injuries notwithstanding, is a major concern but after our unparalleled achievements over the last two seasons and the amount of football this squad has played, I think a ‘dip’ was pretty much inevitable. It is frustrating but I can forgive this team almost anything! Let’s see where we are by the start of the new year.

Not worried about this as we finish top anyway. More concerned about the injuries and the number of players well out of form.

Perhaps City are playing Rodri and Gundogan because we are worried about the central defence? I don't like Rodri and Gundogan together. We don't have the speed of passing in our attacking play when we do this.

It's a bit worrying that KDB is playing consistently below the level he was at before his injuries. The quality of his crossing is there but the surging runs with the ball at his feet are not there. He tries but most runs end with him losing possession. He's having a go, but it's not working out that's why I reckon his fitness is not quite there.
