Shakhtar(H) - Post Match Thread

you dont often see little dinky lobs from 30yds+, very nice finish from Jesus

“I know the goal was handball but Wolves played well, and deserved their point”
(Jermaine Jenas BBC)
“Raheem Sterling’s reputation is further tarnished. Not a shred of sympathy, if he’s called out for it. Embarrassing”
(Ivan Gaskell BBC)

...
So, it's not just Mendy who's inconsistent

The reaction on social media to Sterling’s ‘penalty’ is a joy to behold. It’s like this one incident, purely through its comically bizarre nature, has been the final straw. ‘Sterling shouldn’t even be at the club. He’s there through bent oil money’ was a particularly funny one to read on the MOTD FB page. You can just imagine these simpletons actually raging with anger, whilst at the same time we are lapping it all up.

All this rage. All this anger. Makes me all aglow!

All the years of snide comments and head patting replaced by vitriol and hate.

I love it ;)

After the takeover Andy Jacobs said ‘you’ll become the most hated club in England’, obviously through seeing his own club get the same treatment after their takeover and subsequent success.
Happens he was right! :-)

I’ve obviously missed something, but what was the thinking behind the flashing mobile phones midway through the 2nd half.

Tribute to Vienna70 or just bored fans having a laugh?
I've a strong suspicion it was instigated by Shakhtar fans sat in the home end initially, and then the tourists and kids jumped on board. I really didn't like it - found it quite off putting.

The Shakhtar fans did it in Kharkiv, and I heard a few russian speakers in SS3 last night, so reasonable to assume they were dotted around elsewhere too.
