Weird feeling regarding Shane’s death , I’m not surprised but still gutted he’s gone . One of my music legends along with Joe Strummer & Weller . Only one left now . RIP Shane

Although, point of order, it was written by Philip Chevron who was in the Pogues at the time. I had always thought that it was a Shane song, but he he sing it as only Shane could.

Phil chevron was a genius in his own right and thousands are sailing was up there with the best as well as body of an American but tbh there is way too many

Pogues night here tonight. Fiesta, whilst not their usual style, was a memory from one of my first lad’s holidays when we requested it every night in the bar.
