We do have some great players ie Kompany, Tevez, Adebayor, de Jong, Bellamy but sadly Shaun and Stevie are a notch down from these guys.

Don't agree one little bit. Both those two are in the same bracket as the players mentioned above. PArticularly Ireland who I think would be more of interest to other top clubs than most of them.

Kind of agree with you here, although when you look at the player he used to be it really is depressing to watch him play now, he used to scare the living shit out of defenders with his blistering pace, but now seems to look like a rabbit caught in headlights everytime he gets the ball.

Are you surprised with the amount of dirty taclkes he gets during a match with little or no protection from the ref. FFS it was only the other week poor shaun was sent flying through the air in a 360 and nearly landed on his head, and what did the dirty bastard get for committing that tackle ?.

His dad used his Sun column to slag us to high heaven the other week for not giving him a new deal, even though he has three years left to go. Ironic for those who were at that Mac friendly all those years ago. And he's not exactly negotiating from a position of strength, given recent performances

Just look at Sunday every time he got the ball he drew 3 defenders and this happens every time he plays if we had someone on the left with the same threat and ability we would be quids in

Brilliant and well said. Teams always swamp him and foul him when he's got the ball because they know how good he is and how much damage he can cause.

a few poor performances and the fickle fans want certain players gone and will use any excuse, comment or media report (and so what if marwood has said this.....it happens with virtually every transfer negotiation).

we will AGAIN shoot ourselves int he foot....

ireland and swp are the new boo boys for the fans.....

its appalling how fickle some fans are....SWP and Ireland are 2 excellent footballers, who in the last two seasons have really helped this club move forward and all they get is back bighting from a certain section of fans......every player in the world experineces from time to time drops in performance levels....

but again the fickle ones amongst us will stop at nothing until the help feed the media frenzy around our club and cause more and more unrest
