Shearer on Balotelli

Also during commentary Lawrenson said something like "if Balotelli's brains were the bc don't have the balls or the money to get rid of the dead wood
petrol he wouldn't have enough to get out of the garage.." As if Rooney or Gerrard are ever gonna challenge on mastermind. Balo speaks 2 more languages than either of them for a start; English and Italian.
Could you imagine the national outcry if Lawrenson, Shearer or Hansen had come out and said "oh sure Wayne's got great natural ability but the lads thick as pig shit.."?? (Even though this statement is factually true)

BBC's "analysis" and coverage is an absolute joke.

Lee Dixon was alright tho

I think both the ITV & BBC coverage of this competition has been shite I mean Roy Kean FFS!
But last nights by the BBC was just embarasing, Mark lawrenson is one of those blokes you move away from in the pub, thinks he is funny but just sounds like a pratt, stupid little comments all night about Mario, & when they went back to the panel it sounded like they were all sat in a dustbin?

Ironically, Mario is probably closer to genius than thicket.

I hope Mario wins the euros. Not so much Italy, but Mario.
I hope Spain do now for Silva's sake.

Shearer was laughable when he said that. Shame there's no way of bombarding him with what Balotelli has already won at his age, as opposed to what Shearer won in his whole career.

Im nnot sure whether I should be ashmamed to admit this but i was willing mario to score in open play last night....i actualy didnt care about the result and in my opinion the best team won anyway.....

I feel sorry for Joe Hart but Lescott and Milner (and i think this tournament has proved beyond doubt that he is defintely wasted out wide!!) but that is about it.

And i onlt saw one angry reaction from Mario directed at the ref all night whereas rooney did it time and time again (as usual)

Rooney was appalling again....they say he is world class but on the biggest stage of all he constantly fails to deliver again and again (how many tournaments is that now he has done nothing in)

One thing Mario certainly needs to improve on tho is his one on one......he brought that through ball down beautifully last night but he always seems either hesitant or too relaxed when running down on the goal keeper...he allowed terry to catch him last night and Ive seen this before with city as well....he is an instictive finisher who also has a tremendous shot on him from distance but I think this is one weakness in his game...he could learn a lot from Aguero and even tevez in this aspect of his game (though he did it brilliantly against chelski if I remember correctly)

Not to mention the chance v Spain, where Ramos had time to have a wank, wipe himself clean and have a post wank kip before getting the ball back off Balotelli.

I started singing the Balotelli song when he scored his pen. You can only imagine how much the media were willing him to miss it not for England's benefit, but for their own.
Loved Mario and Joe smiling at each other as he walked up to take the pen, or was imagining that?

I defy anyone who watched the game last night and were basing a decision of that 90 mins to claim Rooney was a better player than balotelli. Shearer is a badly dressed balding moron who was a fantastic player but horrible pundit

Rooney was isolated. It was a more or less impossible job

The Premiership is of a higher standard than an Italy v England manager and he excels here.

You can't complain about pundits letting their hatred of Balotelli cloud their views, and then in the next breath do the same about Rooney. He didn't play well, but you can't on your own. Hodgson's set-up is good for the keeper and back 4, but not for forward play.

Stick in two straight lines and you can forget about a passing game, because passing requires players moving into space and that means leaving your line.

"he's achieved nothing yet" ...
So let me get this right Alan; a champions league, 3 Seria a, 1 premiership, 1Italian cup, 1 supercup, 1 fa cup winners medal (all before the age of 22) don't count?

Give it up mate. You were a great player Shearer but you're a shite pundit.

Makes me sick the way BBC were down on mario all year all the while wanking over Rooney. He was shocking tonight and against Ukraine.

Ha, can't believe Shearer said that - I must have zoned out when they went back to the studio. What a twat he is.
