Not sure it is three at the back with Sterling and Mahrez in there.
Agreed, if we were playing wingbacks then I doubt Pep would use Walker and Zinchenko. Cancelo and Angelino would be more suited to that system. Think we're playing 4-2-3-1 with KDB as a number 10 and the last time he played there, he single-handedly destroyed Arsenal.

Thought we may see Laporte as a sub , ease him in , to start is not how it’s normally done after such a long lay off, very risky .

I think this is just the old fashioned conventional wisdom and has little basis in sports science.

Surely it's better for him to start the game immediately after the full 20 minute warm up with physios and get the pace of the game with everyone else then play normally.

If you're coming on as a sub, you're not warmed up properly and you might be going into a game at 100 miles an hour in a difficult situation against players who are already physically at it as well.

Im no physio but I’d have thought playing after a proper controlled warm up and playing an hour or so is better than a quick warm up and stretch and being brough on.

One has to ask what Foden has to do to get a game?
We aren't going to win the league so Pep needs to play him more this season to prove that he is the dogs dodges and can replace David.
Probably once top 4 is in the bag.
