First away game of the season. Cant wait. Laporte, wheeeyyyy. Three at the back with Zinc and Walker as wing backs? Think I would have dropped Sterling but hey ho here we go.....
Phil for Sterling and I'd have thought this a perfect tesm

Not sure about that line up but great to see Laporte start. Fingers crossed he comes through it ok.
He's either healthy to play or he isn't. There's no such thing as being healthy enough to play against a non-physical side but good enough to go against someone less so.

Agreed, he and the medical team, and Pep must be more than satisfied/confident that he is ready to go.

Huge boost for us, some might say massive ;-)

Will be very interesting to see if it’s a 4-2-3-1 or a 3-5-2.

Either way hope Kev is in an advanced role.

Come on City!!!

I think this is just the old fashioned conventional wisdom and has little basis in sports science.

Surely it's better for him to start the game immediately after the full 20 minute warm up with physios and get the pace of the game with everyone else then play normally.

If you're coming on as a sub, you're not warmed up properly and you might be going into a game at 100 miles an hour in a difficult situation against players who are already physically at it as well.
It’s a point, the games a lot faster in the first half an hour though, madness or genius ? We’ll soon find out

Rotation is absolutely the word. Serg rested and no place in the squad for Mendy or David. Hope Laporte gets through safely, tough competitive team Sheff U. Looks like a back three and wing backs to me. So glad to see Gundog on the bench. Hugely debatable I know, but for me slows us down immensely. Come on City!
