Sheffield United (H) | Post-Match Thread

Oh yes, big lapses like Leon and Arsenal when they strolled passed him, not just unchallenged more unnoticed, brings nothing to City, can't tackle, can't think, more like a Duracell bunny, all power no direction.
Stats.
307 games played
8 goals scored
30 assists
4 clearances off the line
2 own goals
6 errors leading to a goal.
Make of that what you will.

Great win. If a little laboured at times.

We weakened our team by giving game time to players on their way back from illness and injury.
A calculated risk to get the squad back to match fitness.
Sheffield Utd strengthened their team by including players that were either injured or suspended for their midweek game.

Our best team is eleven fully match fit players. Whoever they they are.

Daily fail seems to think we are fucked in March.

Losing 6 players to 10 days isolation because of World Cup qualifiers.

Dias,Bernado,Cancelo (portugal) Ederson,Fernandino,Jesus (Brazil).

Why would we lose them to isolation? They will just get an elite sport exemption as before.

The Mail is trying to fear monger because the exemption doesn't apply yet....because its 2 months away.

And even if true.. don’t any other clubs have players doing exactly the same?

FIFA have temporarily changed the rules on releasing players for international.

If they travel to a country that enforces isolation then the club doesn’t have to release the player.

I assume that’s the same if a player has to isolate on return to the country in which he plays.

We have won 12 games in a row in all compets, a club record, without Kompany, Silva and Aguero, with covid and injury problems, and with our forwards not in their best form currently. Amaizing! Hopefully a sinn we can do well without some of our biggest legends.

Ferna had a decent game but Rodri is more composed, reliable and quicker on the pass, we have a better rhythm in our play with Rodri. It's great though that Ferna can still contribute at 35 and help us keep the team fresh.

The best part is that Pep made 5 changes from the game vs WBA, despite KDB and Aguero and Ake being unavailable, and we still won. At the same time United and Liverpool barely rotate. Even if Liverpool manage to string several wins in a row, their current efforts to turn things around will probably cost them come April and May.
  • Most consecutive wins (all competitions): 20, Manchester City (26 August 2017 – 3 December 2017)
As discussed in detail at the time, the win on penalties v Wolves is classified as a ‘Win’. This was confirmed by the FA, And IFAB at the time.

So you're not wrong, but I think the record being spoken of here has been classified as wins within 90 minutes.

Anyone noticed that Fordyboy didn’t post once in January? A month where we won every single game. He’s still viewing the forum as well as he was on today.

@Ric Is he finally banned for pretending to be a City fan?
