Sheffield United (H) | Post-Match Thread

We’re not only difficult to beat, we’re bloody hard to create any chances against. Ok, it wasn’t easy on the eye that, but another three points is all that matters. Onto Turf Moor now.

Sheffield United are not easy to breakdown. They get men forward and back again in numbers very well and get men around the ball.

City though were comfortable winners: only once did we look remotely in danger of conceding when Sheffield had a brief late flurry but City had almost total control of the game.

4 points clear with best goal difference after 20 games, not bad.

3 Pts + Clean Sheet. That's all that is needed. Onto burnley next, win that and we'll have done everything we needed to going into the liverpool game.

Wonder why we look better away compared to at home? Tbf I did see a stat a week or so ago that said there were more away wins than home wins at this stage for the first time ever.

Just worried that if we do end up going a goal behind that we might struggle to turn the result around.

An ugly win but that can be a dangerous game especially with an unpredictable ref. Dias immense motm by a mile.
A hard watch that as we created very little. Bernie was good but just ran around a lot of mazy dead ends. Feck all up front. Jesus stood amongst 4 big defenders so there must have been space somewhere...we never found it. Walker and Laporte must be leading the league pass back stakes.

These 1-0 nervy games will happen, every game won't be perfect.

That being said, always find it encouraging that we still get 3 points when we are sub par.

was expecting that kind of game tbh, even with their points total they never get thrashed. Its 1 goal losses every week. Rested some players, still got the points pressure on the rags. Move on.
