One of those where you’re just glad to take the three points and move on after making a few changes. Think today reaffirmed how important Cancelo has been to our resurgance of late, we really missed his attacking input.

Also think we missed Stones’ progressive passing from the back, I’ve always admired Laporte but I think Stones is the better option right now (but understand why he didn’t play this one).

Absolutely no problem with beating WBA and Sheff U, one game away, one at home, 6-0 on aggregate to go 4 points clear at the top of the table..

All this in the same week as our nearest rivals lost at home to the team cut adrift at the bottom who hadn't won away all season and whilst fielding their strongest team to boot..!

got to look at it as 3 points ,rotated the squad, no injuries against a hard side,looked very comfortable 99% of the time, 4 points clear with a great goal difference, rest up then onto Burnley, defence rock solid again ,another clean sheet, confidence builds and another week closer to having kdb , sergio and ake back in the squad , good day all round.

I’m far more confident in defending a one nil lead these days.
Dias is a huge addition to us and I’m much more satisfied in another clean sheet than I am annoyed about the lack of chances created by us.

We won’t always score a hatful and there are a few players that have yet to get up to the required level consistently.

At various stages we were saying this about Bernard and Foden but both are hitting good form now.

Jesus needs to do the same. Torres was good In parts but showed naivety at times too.

Like I say we won’t always score loads but I’d also say we won’t often score none.

1-0 is 3 points and we seem very capable of doing it when necessary these days.

I thought the ref defended well for them today, he wasnt at fault for the goal, did well in breaking up the play with his positioning and his never say die attitude rubbed off on the rest of the team. All in all he was unlucky to be on the losing side.

Scrappy hard earned win. Risky rotation by Pep for me. Jesus & Ferran not 100% fit yet. Both struggled today. Not many played well today, but a win is a win. Thought the ref bottled a couple of penalty shouts, both penalties for me. Dias is a diamond.

We have played a games every 3 days for the past six weeks. We are not going to wallop teams every game and some games will be a slog and not easy to watch, the most Important thing is we are winning and not conceding goals

We never wallop Shef Utd but not many teams do: they are organised and very hard working defensively; they are also in their best form of the season at the moment.
