It’s simple. Rick Parry wants him as your owner. A Sheffield Wednesday with the right owner would be a top club, it could compete with his beloved Liverpool. For me he passed the Owners & Directors test when he bought the club, but in the last year alone with failure to pay wages, clubs, HMRC he's no longer fit & proper.
The EFL say they can't look to force him to sell, like they did with Dai Yongge at Reading as that was due to them discovering he had a criminal record.
Surely with all the past drama he has broken his promise to meet his obligations?
A Reading even with a really good owner isn’t going to compete, it doesn’t have the fanbase to be sustainable at the top end of the Premier League. Forcing the Reading owner out has no consequence long term to the likes of Liverpool.
Rick Parry is only in the position he is to help Liverpool dominate, this is why he’s on about scrapping parachute payments, and worse, project big picture.
He’s even rejected bigger TV deals offered by both Apple and DAZN in favour of a lower offer from Sky because his mates run them.
If I was an EFL club owner, I wouldn’t stop until the **** is hounded out.
