Sheffield Wednesday on the brink… | Enter administration (p30)

For me he passed the Owners & Directors test when he bought the club, but in the last year alone with failure to pay wages, clubs, HMRC he's no longer fit & proper.

The EFL say they can't look to force him to sell, like they did with Dai Yongge at Reading as that was due to them discovering he had a criminal record.

Surely with all the past drama he has broken his promise to meet his obligations?
It’s simple. Rick Parry wants him as your owner. A Sheffield Wednesday with the right owner would be a top club, it could compete with his beloved Liverpool.
A Reading even with a really good owner isn’t going to compete, it doesn’t have the fanbase to be sustainable at the top end of the Premier League. Forcing the Reading owner out has no consequence long term to the likes of Liverpool.

Rick Parry is only in the position he is to help Liverpool dominate, this is why he’s on about scrapping parachute payments, and worse, project big picture.
He’s even rejected bigger TV deals offered by both Apple and DAZN in favour of a lower offer from Sky because his mates run them.
If I was an EFL club owner, I wouldn’t stop until the **** is hounded out.

He’s a fucking cancer on the game. Utter ****.

Excellent analysis ...Parry is pathetically obvious and corrupt

Its just pathetic that the powers that be cannot make him sell up by throwing everything at him now :( honestly one of the biggest clubs in our league being destroyed yet they do nothng ............do they not care ?????
I hope you keep the faith it will change for the better look at Coventry for starters and how they had to bottom out before it changed

I feels weird at the minute m8, numb if you will.

We just expect every week to lose, normally as a football fan even when it's bad you have the hope that today we'll get a result.

I don't feel that. Also with everything going on we know we'll get a points deduction it's just when.

Lots of ST holders have boycotted games and im at the point now do I join them?

I missed yesterday due to going on holiday, but the Trust are looking at the Boro game (22nd) as a boycott game, I don't think I'll go to the Norwich game (5th Nov) Daughters birthday, and the lad does not want to go to the derby game (23rd Nov) so im at a point now where I stop going until he is no longer at the club.

I definitely won't renew next season if he is still in charge of the club

Them at the top level can look aftwr themselves its the poor sods down the ladder who need looking after.
The football authorities should basically force a situation where he is forced to take any offer coming his way now.
I mean £100 million for a club that is gonna drop down a league .........face points deductions ????? ......transfer embargos ?????
Sorry but the powers that be need to act now before he does cause serious damage

Headlines suggesting new regulator could force bad owners to sell.
New regulator saying they "will try to get powers to force bad owners to sell", so it could be a long time coming.
And he described Sheffield Wednesday as "one of the great brands for English football". Not one of the great clubs, or one of the great teams, but one of the great "brands" for fuck sake.

Starting to think he's letting his love of the dippers get in front of doing his job.
He’s got his job to protect Liverpool. Look at project big picture, look at how he wants to stop parachute payments, and look at how he’s hinted at stopping the 3pm blackout, thus trying to force the Premier League to knock it on the head first.

Pretty grim.

It's a sad state when professional football is all about greed ? £1million is peanuts to the top players, but for a whole football club like Sheffield Wednesday going under to a measly sum is shocking. Yes the Taxman wants his money and the owners need to be locked up for the crime, but the governing body EFL should also be held to account and booted out.

It's looking like non-league football for a huge club, sadly the fans don't have a say until it's gone and then the fans have to rebuild a new club from what's left after everything is sold

It is totally abhorrent that this can happen to any club, let alone a one the size of Sheff Wed. Fair play to the staff for trying to keep it going without pay..... and of course...everything crossed that the fans get a deserved positive outcome.... as far as the owner is concerned, he can fuck right off

Who allowed this to happen ? the EFL and for the rules of FFP or PRS, what is the point of having rules if they are still allowing owners to do this shit to a big club? Can you tell me what they were brought into football for again
