Sheffield Wednesday

Sounds like Danny Rohl is the new favourite (what do you mean who :)

He was the assitant to Hansi Flick @ Bayern & German national team and Ralp Hassenhutl @ Southampton. He has only ever been an assistant though, never a manager.

Big risk (again)

Today's game was like 2 drunks having a fight, thing is though we played a lot better proving we were absolutely bloody terrible under Xisco Munoz.

Out problem is we won't/don't score enough goals.

DR is the favourite,so I've heard...
Altho other managers have been seen around the ground over the weekend....

Edit. I think this could be the man for The Owls.
A German Coach in Sheffield could just be what they need.to get the troops in order.BB will take to the new coaches style. ..

In any event, thoughts of a German taking the reigns at Hillsborough makes me think back to the days of Uve Rosier.. when City went to Sheffield for the last match of the season ,two years on the bounce
And the whole of the Leppings Lane away end, upstairs and down was a sea of sky blue and we roared " Uve Uve Rosier " All match long.
Happy Daze.
Can't remember the score, either match..but that has to be one of the loudest away support we've ever had in recent times.
Maybe some statto will come along and correct me on dates etc
But in my own head, we went to Hillsboro and drunk and sung the place down,2 years on the bounce.

We played there on the final day in 93-94 and Rosler scored in a 1-1 draw. The Leppings Lane was full and I was in the stand to the left of the city fans and there were loads of us in the end block.
We didn't play there in the final away game in any other season in the 90's.

Could go either way. He could be an inspired appointment if he can adapt to being the main man.

You weren’t going to get a high profile guy in whilst you’re where you are with a questionable chairman.

Rohl will be motivated. Can he turn things around? I hope so, for you guys.

It was the same day as the infamous Everton-Wimbledon match where Hans Segers "flopped", so to speak, and Sheff Utd were relegated as a result - big celebrations among the Wednesday fans.

Whilst we were never going to get someone high profile regardless, the elephant in the room is as you said the bit in bold.

he'll get my backing if he comes in, but I think in 12 months we'll be having similar discussions again

There’s plenty of the season left for the new manager, whoever it is, to pull them out of the shit they’re in.

I hope they manage it.

I was also in the end block of the north stand that day , with a few other blues. We got talking to some Wednesday fans who were sound, I'm pretty sure that Sheffield United were relegated that day, and the Wednesday fans were overjoyed. This is why I have had a soft spot for the Owls ever since

I just left the ground wondering if we'd ever be able to celebrate our local rivals being relegated again. - As we had 20 years earlier of course.
