Sheikh Khaled attempting to purchase Newcastle

You mentioned FFP stopping a a splurge this morning ....... now it's spend spend spend ?

Haha should put this after ;) was being ironic

Everton have a wealthy owner they spent was it 250m in the last few years now they will have to sell before buying because of PffP!

Newcastle fans will get ffp if took over and the spending stops after a season.

Think the ground only held about 20 . you can not, put that against the young supporters nowadays ,that were not even born then.
It didn't in 88/89 when you were regularly getting 18-20k, and had a highest of 33k, actually finishing the season with 2x 14k, you should check your own history, not wait for it to be pointed out by others.

I've no issue with Newcastle, but when your fans start gobbing off about "loyalty", they're likely to get some back.

Pleased for you if it goes through, but get your facts correct ;-)

this bitter twat is going to have to eat his words truly unbelievable the crap that is coming out of his mouth ?? little old city that won next to nothing and no history before the money and pep spent £700milion on players ??????

Good luck to them, they probably deserve it more than most after what's gone on with Ashley. Add that to decent attendances and some good young players coming through and it's a very similar situation to City back in 2008. I don't think they'll be able to do what we did anywhere near as fast now that there's FFP in place to protect the elite but I'm sure if they make sensible investments the way we have the past few years, they'll be competing for trophies very soon.

The amount of piss the rags and dippers will boil between themselves will be stuff of legend. Can't wait to see the fallout.

I don't mind Newcastle, I'm pleased for them, and we genuinely need powerful allies in our fight with the history clubs.

I went in the late 80s and early 90s and no way was it was not as empty as you say .. the sjh stand was built in 1993 and completed in 1996. it then went to 36 thousand and was a sell out .

Newcastle vs. Cambridge. 6/11/91. Result 1-1. Attendance 13077.
