Ah, the shiekh. The plastic, the gloryhunter, the ultimate armchair supporter. Didn't even turn up for the biggest game in the club's history.

Luckily he's richer than god so it would be a bit churlish to quibble too much. But part of me is jealous of mike Ashley sitting with a pie and a pint in the away end.

I'd have Franny back as Chairman in a heartbeat. Proper man's man, old Franny, not like the slightly effeminate guy doing the job now. We wouldn't have dead wood like Ade and RSC clogging up the squad with Lee Won Pen in charge, he's have given them a punch on the hooter and told them to fuck off. We wouldn't have all this cheesey music on before the game, either. Franny would be doing a rousing little speech on the PA, maybe even a little sing song, and waving from the press box.
