Sorry to be a little pedantic OP, but our wonderful owner Sheikh Mansoor in 'OUR' colours. The colours of the team most of us supported before he invested in us, pre '08. The club that he saw fit to invest in us, largely due to our loyal and unwaivering hardcore match going support, whatever division or league position we were in, most of us were there if they were old enough to be.

We are City, the fabric, the pulse, the soul!... But thanks a million ADUG, we sincerely mean that from our fast healing hearts.

Never heard such bombast in all my life. Quite staggering. I mean that from my the bottom of my fast clenching arse.

''Bombast', 'quite staggering', eh? So why the f**k did he and ADUG invest in us. Penny dropped yet? Ok, we hit gold with our owners, and most are grateful for this, as we'd probably still be in oblivion, like we so often were, so their backing is the reason we are where we are today, succesful and thriving as a club. My main point is though, even without their backing, i and many other thousands would still go through the turnstiles, even if they pulled the plug and we slipped through the divisions. God forbid that never happens of course, but like i say, many willl still be there, supporting the club we love.

Funny though, it feels like yesterday you could see him and Sheikh Hamdan looking like two schoolkids sneak up outside better Hotels in Dubai in a SUV and oogle the long legged Ukrainian showgirls turning up for work while the traffic cops tried desperately not to notice the Royal numberplates
