He's so raw as a manager. His only managerial jobs have been in the hardest league in the world where there's incredible media scrutiny. I think that's too much to ask of any young manger really. Dropping down to a good Championship club for a few years and getting them promoted would be great experience for him.

Sherwood now needs to manage in another league. Even the likes of Klopp, Mourinho and Pellegrini wouldn't have been able to cope if their first managerial job was in the hardest league in the world.

Agreed. He should go somewhere like Portugal, France or Russia. Leagues that are of high standard and competitiveness, but not as good as the top 4 leagues. This is pretty much how AVB built/building his image.
 
Not surprised Sherwood was sacked .

Brian Laudrup would do a good job at Aston Villa .
 
Inevitable. He didn't look credible in front of the media, but he had a very difficult job. They bought badly, but I suspect that was not down to him and perhaps he made that clear behind the scenes. The media seem to think the buys weren't his choices so I wonder what he's said privately to them.

Richards has done well for them. Looks back to his best, but Lescott has struggled. Grealish has been an outstanding player for them. Sherwood brought him through I think
