The stats don't lie, and there is nothing wrong in presenting the goals & assists stat for City & United fullbacks.

Who has better record defensively, City or United?

Ok I'm going to explain something now about football. United have conceded a lot recently haven't they? They have outscored teams which is fair enough but on the whole they've been poor at the back. Now when you think Rio has lost his legs and yet is left high and dry by his left back who's in the opposite half 9/10. Evra positionally is terrible and often is the wrong side if his man. Last season he was shit too. Rafael I rate but nowhere near as highly as I fo Zaba. We have a good record defensively and that's because we have a solid back 4, even though both push forward they come back well to defend. Now if RVP wasn't on fire (remember he dates back to Arsenal at start of 2011 then where would they be, because I'm sure as shit Evra and Rafael wouldn't be raved about by you. They'd be second or third imho.

Providing assists and goals is great (Zaba came good v QPR did he not) but number one rule for a defender of any sort is to defend, United have wingers in Young, Nani and Valencia to provide goals and assists as its their main job, their second job is to cover the wing backs when they boom forward. However Young struggles with this because Evra is so far advanced up field.

Hope I've educated somewhat and no they're not better than what City have, I'd say we but I don't believe you're a fan of City. More a 'follower' who liked what was happening or even a troll. I mean no jibes to you as a person but I don't rate you as a poster.

100% this. There's only one team in the top 10 with more goals conceded than United(30) and that's WBA (29).

City have the fewest goals conceded(19).

Tevez City if you fully understood football you would understand that stats dint mean everything! If we wanted more goals and assists from a Rb Maicon would be first choice! Whoever suggested Evra has been the best all round fullback in the league is laughable! Even Neville said Zab was the best and he knows about fullbacks. Fat Fabio was so bad against Reading who are the worst prem side I have seen for years he was substituted as he cant defend!

It doesn't matter if you think I am a City fan or just a football fan, I am not here to prove how much I "LOVE" City or Stoke or any other team, I am just expressing my opinion based on the stats I presented.

Now back to the topic, I didn't say United fullbacks are better, I just said offensively they are better so far this season.

Thats it.

TC seems infatuated with the attacking side of the game. Fair enough, it's nicer to watch your team attack than defend but our team is built on strong defensive foundations and has been since the day Mancini arrived. Every year we have the best defensive record and it's worked out well for us so far. Our full-backs are fantastic defenders and moderate attacking threats. We can bring in Kolarov for Clichy every week and he'd probably have more assists and better attacking stats but at the same time we'd get ripped apart more often on that side as Kolarov is an average defender. We are also without both attacking right-backs and Zabaleta is the best right-back in the country despite not being great going forward.

No one said stats is everything, but it is one of the useful tools to measure the performance of players.

I know goals & assists are not everything, there are other things to be measured and compared to see the full picture.

Speaks for itself, its absurd to rate defenders on goal scored when they are at fault for shipping in goals just because they contribute the odd goal and assist.

It's laughable to be frank.

Don't be offended or such like, but you are clearly a rag and your posts highlight the fact beyond any doubt and have done for some time, having said that it makes not a jot of difference as your posts on the whole are coming from an opposite point of view and I like them. If I was in the boozer talking to rag types like you, I would expect the conversation to go like your posts with my fellow blues. Nowt wrong with that.

Listen. The top and bottom of us being behind is our strikers not being clinical enough. Recently we've been winning but we drew far too many. Mancini not picking Tevez in the derby was a big mistake but there again he's won 2 out the last 3 and we nearly came back in the last one and we were without Kompany!
