Ship of fools

All a tad harsh on J.C. (did you see what I just did there?) I feel. He is merely reacting to the dare-one-say it, relgious militancy, ungenerous spririt and smug self-satisfaction with which some atheists maintain their conviction that there is no God and that people who believe otherwise are either stupid, wicked or both.

I can certainly understand the intuitive attractiveness of the proposition that we live in a harsh, meaningless universe devoid of any overriding justice to Manchester City fans, but as a Gillingham supporter it is my abiding faith that my reward lies not in this world but in the world to come that keeps me going. What world might that be then? Can you elaborate? Just kidding, as long as you don't force the belief of this other world on other folk. that's cool with me

I think you have the wrong end of the stick mate. It was johnny that began the thread by running down others who he perceived to have written something they hadn't. He then compounded this by prothletising his view as being the only acceptable view. He then went on to ridicule others for their beliefs. He earned and deserved what he got.

At least he's not knocking on my door wearing a suit in the blistering heat trying to convert me.

Its not that I condemn religion. I agree with the principles of Catholicism: be nice, don't kill or steal, don't mess up other people's lives, etc. I just don't need a weekly service at church to tell me what is right and what is wrong. I also don't believe there is a God. Does that make me less of a human or less intelligent than someone that does? No. And it doesn't make me better either. I won't agree with Jonny Crossan, but I won't ridicule him for it. Although, if Jonny C is such a believer, why does he mock and belittle those that don't agree with him? Does that not go against all that he is arguing for?

Don't know if anyone noticed what religion has done to the world, Its called "Devide And Rule". The agenda absolutely destroy and belittle all the real ancient knowledge, from ancient Shamonism to the Sanussis of ancient Africa. Centuries ago, Africa was a complete non religious continent, now, it is the most god fearing nation on the planet, City was interested in signing someone called Ressurection FFS. The very mention of ancient knowledge,ie, seeded from above etc etc, you get called allsorts of shit, from mental to cultist, and thats just what the agenda wanted, they have achieved their goal. Well, to some they have. PS, Africa has enough minerals and earthly wealth to feed the world, 10 times over, but it has been used as a football for yonks, and one of the biggest oppressors of Africa, (south anyway), was the piece of shit, CECIL RHODES. The Agenda would have you believe that the African people are the most aggressive, savage people that you could meet, well guess what, they aint!!!! An ignorant bstard lad who i know said,"they are backward cause they cant even build ROAD FFS, and they walk miles for their water, they are lazy primitive savages; I hung the phone up and havent spoken to him since. (what a conditioned piece of meat).

Atheists are just as arrogant as believers.

Agnosticism is the only possible option.

Splinters in your arse?

Athiest = common sense but thats just my opinion. people can believe whatever they like as long as they don't try and force it on me or others.
