I'm going to check these out pal loved Le Hainelmfao
It's not a coincidence there's a load of French films about inner city life (les banlieues) and policing.
Two good ones from recent years, subject matter is right on the money.
La Haine set the tone, but it's a genre that goes back decades.
loads more out there, two truly great ones I'd recommend tho;

Intouchables is excellent, relevant to this but such a heart warming story. One of my favourites.lmfao

Those teenagers aren’t ‘left’ , I doubt majority of them even know the difference between left and right and don’t have much of an interest in politics

China is socialist and they have catholicism as their official faith, on the basis that it does no harm and does good work in society.
Buddhism is big in the north too.

Handsworth, Tower Hamlets, Bradford, Toxteth and other places have had riots.
There have also been terrorist bombings in Manchester and Warrington (also amongst other places).
