I didnt actually see a thread for this. But what's peoples thoughts on this incident..
Seems clear and dry to me they shot an unarmed someone (Again) because the officer panicked. Too many people being shot by our police services, it seems to be the got-to solution. Anyway, just my pov. Sad event though and I hope the officer wasnt just a shit, and that there was a real reason to shoot this kid but I'm struggling to see how or why.
Urban violence spread tonight in Hauts-de-Seine. Cars, two-wheelers and garbage cans were set on fire in Asnières, Clichy, Colombes, Gennevilliers, Villeneuve-la-Garenne, Rueil-Malmaison, Suresnes, Boulogne-Billancourt, Bourg-la-Reine, Clamart, Montrouge, Bagneux, Vanves, or Malakoff again. In the municipalities where the clashes were the hardest, the police used tear gas canisters and LBD fire.
In Gennevilliers, garbage containers went up in smoke, and a bus shelter was pulverized. "I saw fireworks firing on avenue Gabriel-Péri", comments Hafid, a resident. This Wednesday, around 8 a.m., firefighters were still putting out a pile of rubbish that was about to burn.
