Seems clear and dry to me they shot an unarmed someone (Again) because the officer panicked. Too many people being shot by our police services, it seems to be the got-to solution. Anyway, just my pov. Sad event though and I hope the officer wasnt just a shit, and that there was a real reason to shoot this kid but I'm struggling to see how or why.

In the municipalities where the clashes were the hardest, the police used tear gas canisters and LBD fire.
In Gennevilliers, garbage containers went up in smoke, and a bus shelter was pulverized. "I saw fireworks firing on avenue Gabriel-Péri", comments Hafid, a resident. This Wednesday, around 8 a.m., firefighters were still putting out a pile of rubbish that was about to burn. In Colombes, an acrid odor still hovered over the Fossés-Jean district, where a blackened mass was consuming itself in the middle of the rue Jules-Michelet.
And in Villeneuve-la-Garenne, a little before 2 a.m., a group of around thirty people attacked the new premises of the municipal police. "They turned around when they realized that even at that time there were people inside," said a witness.

31 people were arrested on the sidelines of the violence which erupted overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) after the death of Nahel, 17 , according to the latest report drawn up this morning by the police prefect of Paris. The teenager was killed Tuesday morning by a police shot, the latter justifying his act by a refusal to comply. He is currently in custody .
Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin condemned this Wednesday morning this “urban violence” which took place for the most part in Hauts-de-Seine, but also in other municipalities, and called for “calm”. In addition to the 31 arrests, he speaks of "24 police officers injured" and "forty vehicles burned", as well as an annex of the town hall of Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines) burned down.

Several administrative buildings (public finances, community hall, two school groups) were also damaged by fires.
One person was injured, possibly hit in the eye by an LBD shot, according to our information. Another was lightly hit in the eye by firework mortar fire. Clashes took place with law enforcement, who tried to disperse small groups of rioters with tear gas.
As for the authorities, 20 police officers were slightly injured, including 18 CRS and two agents from the Gennevilliers BAC. Ten police vehicles and a vehicle from the Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP) were also damaged.
The mayor of Nanterre Patrick Jarry called for calm this Wednesday morning, "after a night of unacceptable degradation. Tensions also spread in Seine-Saint-Denis, particularly in Saint-Denis and Montfermeil where the alleged perpetrators of the abuses were arrested. In the department, the police responded with more than 46 shots from the defense ball launcher (LBD) during the interventions. No injuries are reported. Violence was also observed in Essonne, Yvelines and even in Paris XX, where young people set fire to a bush.
In Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines), the annex town hall of Val-Fourré was set on fire and significant damage is to be deplored according to our information. "The neighborhood town hall was completely destroyed by fire," said the mayor of the city, Raphaël Cognet (DVD), in a statement posted on Twitter .
