Always has been since the Middle Ages but the most recent problems are due to the sort of element responsible for today's events, of who there are a lot in France due to their historic ties with Algeria.

. I don't agree that Islam is any worse than Christianity though.

I agree they're no better than each other in principle but just now Islam a far more serious problem in terms of the behaviours of individuals within that faith. It's warped atm.

I'm not trying to play down the deaths of any innocent people. There are just as many terrible acts committed by people who identify themselves as Christians. Anders Breivik, massacred loads of innocent people in Norway, however the media report him as just being mad rather than a Christian terrorist. How come all muslims are reported as following a terrorist agenda rather than just being mad?

There are also plenty of Christians involved in bombing innocent mulims in places like Iraq & Afganistan. Sanctions against Iraq which were imposed by governments made up of quite a few Christians, led to hundreds of thousands of deaths as opposed to tens of deaths as per the muslim "terrorists". So which religion is more warped? I think both are equally fucked up.

Eventually yeah,but the story tells of a country with a large anti semetic element,there was also a sizeable element who actively helped the nazis or turned a blind eye to what was happening right in their midst in drancy.
