Should City Offer Subsidised Away Travel?

TBF most clubs get the majority of their support from within the city.

The scheme isn't without fault, but if the club can provide subsidised travel for fans lucky enough to live in that city, or close to it, then that is a positive step forward.

I agree jrb. Maybe if the Club subsidised away travel to cup games they could also agree discounted ticket prices with the home club (like the cheap tickets in the FA Cup at home last season). That would guarantee the home team bumper grounds with a big away following.

City, away travel, not particularly no, and here's why:

All local transport authorities should provide free/ concessionary transport to the ground from points of national public transport terminals and park and ride locations to the ground and back. Therefore City & rags liaise with and financially support GMPTE, Newcastle with Nexus etc.

All persons in possession of a valid match ticket should have free/ concessionary travel within the local area. Getting to that local area for an away game is at your own expense as far as I'm concerned.

Away match ticket prices should be somehow capped at £25-30 It's probably not possible to actually 'cap' the price as it will be restricting business, however, the clubs should agree a set recommended price

This.

Subsidised travel doesn't go far enough, fans up and down the country are getting ripped off. The Premier League, The Football League, The Football Association and the Government need to do more to insist the football clubs ALL charge fairer capped prices to watch games of football in this country - it is in all there interests in the long term...

Nevertheless, subsidised away travel would be a good starting point for the club. It will be a small reward to the fans that have shown loyalty through the good and bad times. I suspect the club are working on this issue as we speak. Seriously, where would the club be without us..? #CTWD
