Should it have stood?

I didn't even realise the offside law had been changed as I thought as soon as he chased the ball from an offside position he would be flagged regardless of whether he touched or dummied the ball. The foul was a tangle of legs and would more often than not be given but VAR is't our best friend. I just hope people don't blame Raheem for the defeat, he was our best player a mile last night and shouldn't be pilloried for one bad miss.

Quinn and Kerr both agreed last night that it wasn't a foul. I has thought it was a definite foul until Quinn explained Laporte change direction and ran across Demeble, the collision was on Laporte, nothing to do with Dembele.
Yes they did, but I was referring to an appearance of theirs from before the lockdown. I personally don’t think the foul was soft if a foul at all. But they’re given all the time, but for right or for wrong there should still be some consistency from the officials.
I wasn’t expecting Quinn or Kerr to make excuses for us last night post match cos we didn’t really do much to warrant it. We were lacklustre and it’s very frustrating.
But I think the point I was trying to make was that not every instance of post match analysis goes against us. But a lot of it does. Tony the presenter could barely contain himself post match. Quincy also said he’d love to see his old club win the champions league. I think he was genuinely gutted last night but had to go on what he saw.

I don’t think people are blaming Raz.
Pep is getting most of the stick.

Having just brought myself to watch the highlights sober I have no idea how the goal stood and now even more angry with it.

Will be glad of this break from it all

No as he fouled the defender in the build up and gained a huge advantage

I think he did touch it though. There was a super slow mo enhanced image in the coverage last night. I was i the pub and both me and my mate jumped and said he touched it. Not seen it again. You can sort of see it here at about 40 seconds.

~45 second mark shows without a doubt that the ball grazed his foot while going between his legs. Easy to see both speed and trajectory of the ball change (albeit slightly, but very clearly) as it passes through his legs. 1000% offsides. VAR is a total joke. SMDH

No goal , if the player had dummied a shot on goal in front of the keeper it would have been disallowed , this was no different , tand he tangle of legs with Laporte although accidental it resulted in the player being clean through one on one with Ederson.
Actually thought the ref had a decent game and i dont buy into the conspiracy theories , but if the ref had the choice to look at the screen on the side of the pitch, no doubt he would have given the offside.
I thought the ref had a good game too to be fair to him. Hard to call that in real time with so many moving parts.

Bumped into a Rag I know earlier and he said he thought it was offside and a foul, said he couldn’t believe they allowed it.

I pointed out it happens to us every season and he shrugged his shoulders
