Should Tevez contract be extended

Get him to sign a contract extension before he gets to the last 12 months when we will get peanuts for him if he goes. He's a changed man BTW, he's told Kia to keep out of the papers and we've all benefited as a result. Without his input at the end of last season we wouldn't have been anywhere near our final day celebrations, and for that alone I forgive him.

No brainer.

Even if we gave him another 3 years at £150,000, that contract would protect our asett and only cost us a snip over £20M. If anyone can explain where we can even buy a player half as good as Tevez for that price then let me know.

Other things to consider are the increased chances Kun Aguero will stay if Tevez and Zabba are long term fixtures here too.

I'm not so sure. He's been brilliant for us but I don't think he is as instrumental in our success as he used to be. Plus his wages off the books would allow us to sign 2-3 other players in his place.

i really hated him for his outburst and thinking hes bigger than the club, but tbh its mainly down to Kia Joorabchian who is a total c**t. hes been working hard, he always puts in a shift and seems to have settled back down, maybe its a bit too early to offer him a new contract, but think hes earned it if im honest, although hes too easily led

Looks like he's going to get a new contract which is very good news. It's a cliche but you don't know what you've got until it's gone sometimes ... losing Carlos would be a big blow. He's a winner, a fighter, and someone who on the field leads by example.

Yes - providing Mancini and Soriano are also convinced. They see him at closer quarters than we do. He certainly looks happier and far more settled while his on-pitch commitment has always been second to none. A repacement of equivalent quality woud cost over £30m in transfer fee alone, even in the FFP era.

One of the finest players ever to have worn the sky blue shirt in my view. Some have flair, some have work rate. Tevez combines the two better than almost anyone.

That was my view back in September and Tevez has done nothing to alter it. If the whole team had the same on-pitch attitude as Vinnie, Zab and him, we might be 7 points ahead of the rags instead of 7 behind.

One change in the meantime is that Mancini's position can no longer be taken for granted. That means additional inputs may or may not be needed when taking a forward look, if you catch my drift.

It will be a commercial decision too and any contract extension would have to be buttoned down properly. I am sure we have the right people in place to do just that.

He can never be trusted, actually I trust Mario more than him at least he never thrown City scarf.

Well it's all over SSN that City are in discussion about extending his contract, so we may hear soon enough.

I think Mancini said it depend on what Carlos wants, because everybody knows that Tevez would like to finish his career with Boca.
