Should Tevez contract be extended

Quality wise hes twice the player of Dzeko and Balotelli and you always know what your gonna get with him when he starts. Really hope he stays for the foreseeable future we should be keeping our best players not letting them go.

yeh, extend it. 1 year or 2 though. Still world class. Can see our future striking force being Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko and Guidetti. Wouldn't have to buy anyone which would be good. But I feel one or two of our strikers will be sold to get Cavani.

No.

We are going to have to fit Guidetti in somewhere next season so thank him for what he has done and cash in.

To me it makes footballing (and financial) sense to pair him alongside Dzeko, Aguero and a newby - Falcao or Cavani. And yes that means bye bye Balo.

I don't think that would weaken our strike force at all.

No, fair play he's come back and got his head down but I'd cash in while he is worth a decent amount. Let's not kid ourselves, the only reason he his still here is because nobody else was willing to give him the same as he gets here. Time to say thanks but time to look at a buying a new striker for the next 5-6 years

Sell Dzeko and Balotelli, bring in Falcao

Aguero, Falcao, Tevez and Guidetti as our strikerforce. Makes sense to me Tevez could also play deeper.

Well it's all over SSN that City are in discussion about extending his contract, so we may hear soon enough.

I think Mancini said it depend on what Carlos wants, because everybody knows that Tevez would like to finish his career with Boca.
He could sign a new four year contract at City and after three of those years go and sign a three year contract with Boca. He's only 28.

I'd keep dzeko, but I think he wants to play more games. I agree balotelli needs to go for his own good. I just think in a couple of years tevez value will have dropped and selling now could be good business for us. Particularly with the strikers that may become available

but then we would have to get two strikers. 3 is kinda risky over the course of the season. bad luck with injuries and you are in trouble. As greasedupdeafguy said, Tevez can play deeper and seems to be more willing to share time than Dzeko (although you never know).

It must be another slow news day at Sky & MEN for such a non-story. Players should sign contracts and stick to them, and nobody needs to sign a new deal or an extension until the final half year or so, and only if it suits both parties. Since his return from golf a slimmed down Carlos played the 2nd half of last season with his head-up which helped him and the team to score more goals to win the title in May. This season so far Carlos plays more like he used to with his head-down which causes our goals numbers to decline.

Agents are the scourge of the modern game. As well as he is playing now, Carlos and his greedy agent have shown disrespect for previous signed contracts and disrespected the club & manager & fans, and he still hasn't settled in England or learned to speak English. So why not let his contract run its course, he is very well paid, there's still plenty of time.

I know, but he said in one of his interviews few years ago that he want to go to Boca early and be a strength point for the team and not after he become old and not useful.
