No, fair play he's come back and got his head down but I'd cash in while he is worth a decent amount. Let's not kid ourselves, the only reason he his still here is because nobody else was willing to give him the same as he gets here. Time to say thanks but time to look at a buying a new striker for the next 5-6 years
Sell Dzeko and Balotelli, bring in Falcao

Aguero, Falcao, Tevez and Guidetti as our strikerforce. Makes sense to me Tevez could also play deeper.
This is what I also believe.

I'd extend it however he's going to need to take a considerable pay cut.

He'll never be a first choice for us anymore in which case you can't be paying him 200k per week. TBH I can't see anyone offering him big dollar nowadays so it wouldn't surprise me if we thrashed out an extension but on a contract similar to Silva's with a basic of around 100k plus bonuses.

I suspect Tevez won't be asking for the kind of money he's currently on . I agree that we'll end up giving him a heavily incentivised contract with a basic of much less than 200k a week.

If Tevez wants to stay I don't see a problem in extending his contract. Still a very useful player to have in our squad.

Any possibility a deal was struck when he came back, such as give it your all until your contractbis up and we'll agree to a cut price deal with boca?

It must be another slow news day at Sky & MEN for such a non-story. Players should sign contracts and stick to them, and nobody needs to sign a new deal or an extension until the final half year or so, and only if it suits both parties. Since his return from golf a slimmed down Carlos played the 2nd half of last season with his head-up which helped him and the team to score more goals to win the title in May. This season so far Carlos plays more like he used to with his head-down which causes our goals numbers to decline.

Agents are the scourge of the modern game. As well as he is playing now, Carlos and his greedy agent have shown disrespect for previous signed contracts and disrespected the club & manager & fans, and he still hasn't settled in England or learned to speak English. So why not let his contract run its course, he is very well paid, there's still plenty of time.

We won't get a penny for him them. Contracts need to be sorted out 18 months before they expire or else you get a very reduced fee in the last year or end up with nothing.

Offer Carlos a 5yr deal, with the option of a buy out clause, that after he reaches the age of 32, if he wants he can go back to Argentina providing that a club there is willing to pay us £10m, if he wants to go anywhere else the buy out clause is £25m.

Maybe with such a clause in his contract he might just sign the extension.
