Should we be worried about Nigel?

Why would the os put so much coverage on his world cup? He has given quite a few interviews too over last few weeks, why waste the money and coverage of interviewing him while over there if you are going to get rid? He wont go, he will be one of 3 players (barry and toure) who will battle of places. In a sqaud as strong as ours its the depth we need to win trophys and stay strong in more than one competition... that is what spurs will lack in the champions league next year.

just my view :)

someone said the other day..De jong for the physical games is what we need..

Theres no way we are going to let a player go whos played every game in the world cup for Holland so far...they are still in it btw. :)

first out of the door should be Richards the lazy idle gitt! unless he has changed his ways

eh? how is he lazy/idle? Quite a good young player IMO, just young (better than the defenders placed ahead of him in Englands squad e.g Johnson)

Nige to stay too.

i agree. Had a torrid time under hughes, as a young player obviosuly didnt get the help or guidence he needed from him as a manager (it seemed!) he has come out and says he hasnt had good man management since he was under stuart pearce. And with bobby manc getting the best out of him this season imo he will blossom. Very young will come good this season i think with the quality he will have around him!

I slated him at started of season and thought he came on loads during it nd ended it very well. Its plain to see he has great raw talent its getting it out bobby manc will do i think!!

I think SWP with revert to a more central anchor position so NDJ won't get as many games.

I can't see him going to be honest; we have Nige, Vieira, Gazza, Zabaleta and Yaya. Out of those, I see Zabaleta going, MAYBE Gazza being used as a left back if we don't sign anyone better than Bridge and with the amount of games we have to play, it is very hard for players to play that many games in 1 season; slight rotation will keep players fresh! Big squads are good.

what about V-Kompany??

I was going to add him in there but because he played centre back last season and was excellent, I'm nearly certain he'll play there again this season :)

can't see him going anywhere personally- we are building a squad could be 70+ games this season.

Can see City trying to mount a challenge on all fronts next season. If not in the starting XI, De Jong will certainly be an asset in european away games, niggly premiership games and domestic cup games, so will certainly get some match time. After his shoeing in SA 2010 we'd be mad to let him go - all boils down to keeping the player happy which will be the same with others next season as we assemble an impressive squad.
