If Mancini has been promised players/ funds to achieve CL glory and our owners havent delivered then Mancini has every right to question our owners and if its in his contract he should say arrivederci and all the best.

Only if they "punish" him by not making it, e.g. denying him a big bonus.

If they say "go win it" but are ok with us getting close then so what.

And regardless of whether Mancini is right, Sheik Mansour is the boss. It's his way or the highway for everyone.... including us.

Re: Sign martinez now

I reckon they'll wait to January now.

If what Richards30 is saying is true then obviously there are some issues but it's not just down to Marwood.

This, I like everyone wants to see the squad improve but he can't spit his dummy out every time.

I'm not having a go at Mancini here but I go on the Inter Forums and one of the jokes they make about him is that he always always always asks for more players and is never happy. People even say he left Sampdoria because there was no more money about.

Mancini leaving Sampdoria had nothing to do with their being 'no money' about. He left because Sampdoria hadn't won anything for 5 years and were beginning to decline. He joined Lazio to add a few more medals to his career before he retired.

Maybe you're right mate, just I used to live in Italy and had discussions with lots of football fans including Sampdoria and Inter fans. That was their opinion, not mine.

To be fair, I suppose Sampdoria's decline could have been due to a lack of money at the club so, if that is the case, you could say he left because they were no longer spending, but only because it led to Sampdoria no longer challenging for major honours

And in their heart of hearts red rom knew they were lucky Keith! Hence the investment this summer. To be fair they have bought some amazing young players and will still add either hulk or cavani I reckon. There are positions we need players in to improve the squad and the manager is a very unhappy man at this point! What was discussed in Abu dhabi has not happened.

What was discussed in Abu Dhabi
Goals for the new season, players and budgets. As danamy has said bobby was promised as a present for winning the title a player. Cavani I believe was that player but obviously Carlos coming back and doing the biz meant it was no go. Personally instill can't believe we haven't gone for sahin on loan! Very very strange atmosphere at the club at the minute and it needs sorting before it reaches the players.

The market is very complicated this summer, things will start moving this week, be sure.

Re: Sign martinez now

But who was the source when we heard about bombs and the defcon videos?
The same who now giving infos about how awkward the situation between Mancini and the board?

Missing out on Hazard is one thing but we couldnt stop him to go to one of our rival. That's two mistakes in one.

After that we probably was too slow in Martinez transfer. Now we only can hijack Bayern bt we probably wont.

RVP? Couldnt sold any top striker so no RVP, no Cavani. Mancini would prefer RVP or Cavani surely.
T. Silva went to PSG, Agger wants Liverpool stay.
De Rossi wants Roma forever.

Well I can understand if Mancini is dissapointed in summer dealings. Rodwell improves nothing in the team, he has potential to become maybe a Barry for us.
But Barry is a player who would be on the bench if we get someone like DDR.
So Rodwell maybe will be as good for us as a bench player. Now he isnt as good as NDJ.

And we need some luck to replace AJ with Sinclair which is a small improvement if it is an improvement at all.

Re: Sign martinez now

You shouldnt get your hopes up, the english press is doing a terrible job covering the Martinez transfer. Yes it's true, the Bayern talks have it a snag and it looks unlikely that he'll sign with Bayern. But dont forget that Bayern has already agreed to match the clause (40m). Bilbao simply doesnt want to sell him and only the player himself can excute the clause. As of right now the only way to get him, is to let Martinez buy himself out which could result in a transfer fee between 40m and 65m (worst case scenario because of taxation issues). That's the reason Bayern is afraid to pull the trigger, so unless Bilbao changes its minds and agrees to sell him, i doubt that anyone would risk to signing him.

I'm a Bayern fan, so i understand if you take this post with a grain of salt but this whole transfer saga is just damn frustrating and i'd like to spare you some of the frustation.
