Sign Pizarro, yes or no?

Yes, but not at a high price..
He's an excellent sub. We need someone other than Silva and Yaya to provide through-balls.
But he's probably only good for another year or so, so we'll need another player to take over soon...

Strange !! How old is Scholes and what about his blistering pace !!
Fucking hell, what do want from a 32 year old ? He`s got a footballing brain and can find space and men,
Something that some of our younger midfielders seem unable to be capable of.

good shout!

The difference is Scholes has pace around him in their midfield, our midfield would get outrun by Heather Mills in a sprint.

Although I agree with you ref pace in midfield,we do need someone like Pizaman, who`s range of passing is better than most.
However when we play with wide men (not very often) he can at least find them, but at times he does go overboard and tries too hard.
But if you remember the Sunderland game,he constantly found Johnosn with some pinpoint accurate long balls.
I see him more as a sub and I thought he did well yesterday, nothing flashy but at least found a blue shirt more often than not.He was far more effective than Milner (who I like) and Barry.

No, would rather trying to get the next stage of superstars ie hazard, Martinez, even lavezzi than take up a place with Pizarro in the squad. Tidy player don't get me wrong but let's invest longer term.

Stop being so fucking stupid, he's 32/33, his legs have gone and he isn't fit enough for more than 10 minutes in the Premiership. Absolute class act, very gifted on the ball but upsets the balance of the side because he's not got the required pace or fitness to get back.

Scholes is United through and through, more than just a player, but a symbolic talisman, and he's been brought in to 'fill a woeful gap' for half a season.

Pizzaro's been brought in to help out midfield, but he doesn't have that 'boost' that bringing back a great gives you. Scholes is not the future of United. Pizzaro's certainly not the future of City.

I'm not saying older players don't have a place... they absolutely do, but we all know Fergie WANTED Sneider, not Scholes!... he's a stop gap that's worked out well for United, and fair play to them.

Proven midfielder, knows the club and the players inside out, comes back into the squad for 6 months - canny thinking from wise old Fergie

It's not quite the same for Pizzaro is it?

Maybe not,but at a minimum cost in salary and transfer fee,I think its worth a chance for a one year signing.
If we are to do better in the CL,he can then be used for the PL and FA and Carling Cup games, thus saving our better (and I use that word losely at the moment) players to concentrate on the PL games.
IMO I rate him as a good sub.Worth a punt for me.

Problem is, there's a limited number of squad players, and you have to name them for CL / Europa / Prem etc (is it 24? I'm not sure)

Plus, I worry about the youth academy. At what point are we going to try and reap some talent from the youth?

Oh I don't know. I think he's done a good job when he's been asked to (barring yesterday's mistake), can't say fairer than that.

Would you buy Pizarro permanently, yes or no?

He seems to help out in training alot (judging from inside city), and has changed games.

Simple yes or no.

Me: Yes.

a decent player, but too old and too slow.

Therefore he fits nicely into the rest of the midfield requirements for City.

Yea coz Yaya, Silva, Milner and Nasri are all snails and in their late 30's.
