Come back soon you beautiful, mercurial, graceful wonder of the football world.

There's a little Argentinian powerhouse ready to jump on some of your sublime, silky, perfectly weighted through balls.

That sounds like a softcore porn story. And I like it!

He is football porn, SC. Not hardcore as you say. More like beautifully written erotic literature with a beginning, a middle and a happy ending.

I hope he lasts longer than 3 minutes on his return.........

And maybe he can learn to play a quick through ball for him when he is one on one on the last man?

It is clear one of the major plans against Bayern was the quick ball from midfield to put Aguero 1 on 1 with either (or both) of their centre backs, because no-one can beat him in that position.

Crazy thing, huh, playing to your best players strengths! Go figure!

Unfortunately not every team playing against us will be so kind as to plonk their centre halves either side of the circle and give Aguero 30 yards to run into!

I had heard a rumour this week that he'd suffered a bad setback in training, and was wearing a protective cast boot, but hopefully it's not true.

I guess we'll find out at Pellegrini's press conference shortly. He tends to be pretty honest when it comes to injury updates.

He was good on Monday. Or at least no boot. Hopefully nothing has happened to him since

Fingers crossed! Would be a huge boost to have him back.

Pellers gets all the players out on the training pitch before training for a talk then sends whoever is injured back in....saw plenty of these pics last season with Jovetic even when he wasnt fit

Just hope we don't rush him back too early! If sergio keeps his current dorm going and merlin can regain his then we will hit the goal trail again!

David Silva is set to hand City a Champions League boost by returning for their crucial clash with Roma next month.

The Spanish playmaker has been out of action since damaging knee ligaments in the Capital One Cup defeat to Newcastle last month.

Manuel Pellegrini had hoped the 28-year-old would be back by now - but his recovery has taken longer than expected.

He is set to resume full training next week and could be available for the home game with Everton on December 6 - four days before City play in Rome.

Silva had been unable to kick a ball until this week.

Pellegrini revealed: “He’s just starting (to kick a ball).

“We hope that next week he could be 100 per cent - at least kicking the ball with normality - and we will see if he can be the squad also.”

The City manager added that there are no concerns over the time it is taking Silva to return to action, as well Edin Dzeko and Aleks Kolarov, who are both out with calf injuries and will miss tomorrow’s game with Southampton

Hopefully he will be back v Roma, his ball retention and calmness in possession could be vital.
