Silva v's Scholes

Im currently having a heated debate with a rag, re paul scholes. don't get me wrong, scholes was a good player, but the best of a generation, don't make me fucking laugh. I said to the rag, that scholes isn't / wasn't a better player than silva. He couldn't believe what i was saying, and pissed himself laughing. Do the rags really believe scholes was that good? the rags clearly don't watch any other teams / leagues, they are only interested in UTD. the number of times, even in his early valencia days, that silva has dismantled top european teams, its unbelievable, yet the rags don't seem to want to even acknowledge he exists.

For what it's worth I think there's little to choose between them (assuming Scholes is/was at his peak).

Certainly his long range passing and goal contribution are better the Silva's. Not so sure about his tackling mind;-)

Best player of his generation? Not sure, but a great player nontheless. If Silva wins half as much with us as Scholes did with them I'll more than happy.

Just because he played for them doesn't automatically make him overrated.

To be fair most City fans think Silva is a god and given that we are agreed they are pretty much the same, I don't see what the problem is tbh.

Given all that would you expect any different if he was one of ours?
