Silva v's Scholes

We all know that we hate the RAGs, they hate us. And there's sticking up for your own etc. But it drives me crazy when fans, and this goes for every team, can't call a spade a spade.

Respect the player if the player deserves it. IF the player is top class, call the player top class. There's rivalry and bitterness and then there's just stupidity.

On note with this topic. I think Silva and Scholes are from 2 different eras. Scholes is one of the last players of his generation, (a much better generation in many ways, pity there's so few of them left now) it's sad that we don't get to compare them both in their prime. Scholes at the top of his game, is one of the best English players I've ever seen.

It's up to Silva to show us how good he can be.

Silva is better for us and Scholes is better for United. Plain and simple.

Both are world class.

1 thing about Scholes, if he did'nt play for the rags. He would have received treble the red cards he got. Meaning he would never have made it to the top. Most players get slagged for taking another player out of the game. But with Scholes it was a case of pundits laughing & saying we all know he can't tackle.

Let's be realistic here, Silva has time on his side but I'll tell you what, that little Ginger Twat "Was" one of the best players of his generation no question ! I'm a Blue but you have to admire what a player he was - take off your blue tinted specs for a minute and any genuine football fan would agree.

Yes would agree with that, as much as I hate to admit, Scholes, on form played the game like a chess master and was someone I could have watched play the game all day had he not been a rag.

The Scholes thing is a bit of a strange one.

He is easily the best English midfielder in a generation or two.

That said, those talking about him in the same breath as Zidane et al are on some good shit.

Silva is the more clever and inventive player. Scholes has a definite edge on lethalness in the final third.

I don't know if you're referring to my post (if you weren't just ignore this) but I was alluding to what Zidane said about Scholes. I wouldn't put Scholes up at that level but he was an excellent player, my only regret is that we didn't see him playing more for England.

Nah mate, the quote from Red Cafe and other places. Even the one from Nasri.

I read all 3 pages and was hoping nobody else had said this, oh well.

lol

He would have missed a third of a season if he played for Everton or Newcastle or us for that matter.

A good player no doubt about it but he was sneaky dirty **** with it.

Lets just get another thing straight as well, the superlatives for Silva from other pros will be as gushing and as many as they were for Scholes as his career continues.
