Think data fees coming down because most pub clubs have free WiFi and you don’t need to use it.

This is very true mate.We have BT for our Broadband and a part of that deal lets me log into millions of their wifi hotspots throughout the UK.Also Tim my Landlord lets me use his Wi-Fi service for free in his pubs and the signal is very good.I have just checked my data usage over the last three months and it has averaged @5 gig monthly.

My point entirely. The bus terminal here has free wi-fi, as does every pub.
My phone cost me 20 quid 3 years ago and i top up a tenner every 6/8 weeks. I am constantly on it for work and play.

Free wi fi spots are all well and good if you don’t mind your phone being open to any tom, dick or Harry to steal your cc details, bank details etc..

Don't go with Three. I bought a PAYG sim for my USA holiday and now my phone is locked to their network. Having a mare getting it put back.
