All my comments in the thread are the reasons why I would say no at the moment, go back to the points I listed earlier and feel free to discuss them.Saddleworth2 said:There is no evidence, how could there be? Other than his record as a player and the job he has done since he arrived at City.
There is hard evidence though that MP for whatever reason, is not getting a performance from the squad and does not have the capability or motivation to change things and get us back to at least the sum of our parts. Yes it would be high risk but at the moment our current momentum is taking us backwards at a rate of knots. Decisive action may be needed within a week depending on results and performance in the next 2 games if we are to finish top 4.
Actually there may well be evidence for PV getting the job now, but none of us fans have seen it, others at the club might have. He may well be highly respected by the first team players, but since we have rarely (if ever) seen him have any interactions with them, who on here can know ?
Your reasons are all logical and I agree with much that you say. The question is all about judgement and timing and there are serious risks in leaving MP at the helm or replacing him. It's down to which you think is the greater risk. It's just given the team performance since Christmas I think leaving him in charge is the greater. I may feel different after the next couple of games. I really hope so.........
