Singapore

Bugis St nightclub, hidden above the market, is one spot you should check out.

For cheap eats go to one of the multi-storey shopping centres that have a whole floor as a restaurant.

When walking down the street pissed, watch out for the storm drains.

For sight seeing,I recommend places like the Esplanade,Singapore Flyer or Marina Bay Sands. They are all next to each other, you can actually walk to all of them actually.

If you wanna relax and enjoy yourself, might wanna go to Sentosa. Theres a newly build Universal Studios there and the beaches there have bars and bistro. Theres alot of things at Sentosa itself. Might wanna check that out.

very much this, but then jump in a cab from Suvarnabhumi Airport and head to Pattaya, ask the cabbie to drop you off at Saigon Girl or Thumbs Up bars on soi 6...... you will NEVER regret a minute (unless you get waylaid and go in Pook Bar.....google helps....)

I was born in Singapore but as I was only 2 years old when I came here, I can't remember a lot about the place ;o)

ha. cheers all for the into, noted =)

I'll stay in the Marriott hotel in Singapore and the Intercontinental in Hong Kong.

Flying this Thursday, hopefully it will be decent trip for myself and the family(yes not a pleasure trip) and I'll wear my new away shirt! :)

You will love it but hotel drinks very expensive stock up at Supermarket .most hotels do trips China Town & Little India ,your missus will enjoy the shops at Orchid Road /There is a big themed water park & my kids lived the crocodile farm

Enjoyed the trip, though the weather was unbearable. In Hong Kong it was mostly raining and in Singapore humid & hot ...

Despite that, Singapore was really good place to spent the week with the family, been to Sentosa island 3 days and I still think we missed few stuff!!

Hong Kong wasn't that special, Disney land was ok, but not as good as the one in France.

if anyone going to that part of the world with the family, I really recommend Singapore to be one of your destinations and especially Universal Studios, fantastic stuff there. (The revenge of the mummy + Galactic are the best rides I've ever been on!!)

on football note, I actually noticed more Chelsea & Liverpool shirts than the scum!! Chelsea badges are everywhere! on cars, pubs..etc

Ahhhhhhh, a man I can relate to!!! Yeah Soi 6 what class!!! BTW whats the problem with Pook Bar?? Some stunners in there mate :-)

Been to Singapore a few times, mostly when I was young but also in 2005. The main negative is the heat, it truly is unbearable. You can be out in it for 30 seconds and be soaking wet in sweat from the humidity. However, almost EVERYWHERE is well air conditioned so there are places to go for a reprieve from the diabolical heat. There are nice places to see like Orchard Road and Chinatown but it isn't the sort of place you'd want to spend more than a week in I think, unless you get the ferry to Malaysia.
