That's a very big IF.I find this sort of argument so bad faith, around 25-30% of total emissions emit 1% or less. If every "small" country stopped trying, a third of the world's emissions would go unchecked.
So yeah the UK on it's own is a small factor, but when you have groups of countries in a similar boat it becomes larger.
Schrödinger's anti renewable folks? The perfect summation of arguing with anti-renewable folks.
Industry is simultaneously dying because it’s too expensive to produce energy for the UK, and securing new investment is bad because it’s so profitable to do it.
Licence = noun, License = verb.Licences.
Rayner is just as bad.Once again we are in the position of the person in charge more bothered about keeping his job than actually doing his job.
Keith campaigned on Tory sleaze and chaos, and has brought even more sleaze himself.
Have a read of this, should help to plug the shortfall, create jobs and contribute to the economy. However those on here who still wear tall hats with a buckle will find something to moan about. We're on a knife edge with our energy supply relying on the goodwill of Norway and France to sell us our shortfall which is in part due to the reliance on wind power.
Probably the most delusional post I've read on BM and there's plenty to choose from.
Not sure being a tax expert is a pre requisite to being an mpRayner is just as bad.
"Oh I didn't know I hadn't paid enough tax..."
You're deputy leader of the Labour Party love, you should.

It is to be PM for fucks sake. Not sure being a tax expert is a pre requisite to being an mp
Why is it?It is to be PM for fucks sake.
And produces the most expensive energy of all forms. The deal he recently signed on Wind Farms makes nonsense of his claims to bring energy costs down. I'm not sure what the relevance of bringing R &GB news into the discussion. Why would we do that when wind is cheaper and quicker? Yeah it has the net zero benefit but it’s also just the best form of energy investment we have right now.
On top of that they’re still allowing more drilling in the existing fields, massively expanded gas power stations and reopened negotiations with centrica to increase our storage capacity - the biggest factor in cost to the consumer.
The only people who don’t think Miliband is doing a good job on energy are Reform and GBnews lot who can’t see past net zero.
If in doubt…….ask someoneRayner is just as bad.

The political system has failed. We have had Johnson, May, Sunak, Truss and now Starmer. People with no leadership skills and no judgement. Angela Rayner… bloody hell. Just another pig in the trough. It is to be PM for fucks sake.
Because we have a modest degree of independence instead of being increasingly reliant on outside suppliersaside from getting a fee for the license how do we benefit from granting them?
Why is it?
And when the wind doesn't blow? Why would we do that when wind is cheaper and quicker? Yeah it has the net zero benefit but it’s also just the best form of energy investment we have right now.

Couple of posts I've read from you digging out the older generation. You're on the wrong forum if you don't like FOC..Have a read of this, should help to plug the shortfall, create jobs and contribute to the economy. Yeah but companies that use a lot of energy are going under because of the cost of energy.I find this sort of argument so bad faith, around 25-30% of total emissions emit 1% or less. If every "small" country stopped trying, a third of the world's emissions would go unchecked.

You are, and most seek professional help as it is a minefieldRayner would be the equivalent of replacing one form of sleaze with another.
Out of the frying pan and into the fire...
