Six Nations 2026

I thought last week that England hadn't actually had to do a great deal to beat Wales. Today they didn't really seem to have much invention, looking to just overpower Scotland, and made some dreadful decisions (Steward getting tackled into touch being one of the worst).

I don't really know what Steward offered in attack today, Arundell's second yellow was plain stupid, and compared to Scotland the passing down a line was laboured.

Tremendous for Scotland, but if they'd take next week off, that would be great.

No chance. England have had a fantastic run and just came up against a rampant Scotland. This was always going to be a close game and Englands lack of discipline, especially the second yellow, hurt them
It was more to do with tactical ineptness than discipline

Well played Scotland, much the better team.
Now just the French hammering for us Welsh to look forward to

Italy were great today against Ireland they have improved a lot. Ireland's bench won the game. I had a tryscorer forecast I pick the 3 try scorers but added 1 more in. Thought Ireland at home would of got a bonus point win. The positive was the 2 wingers done well and full back. McCloskey is a beast in centre. Starting 9 and 10 were shocking. I wouldn't have SP anywhere near this Irish squad for the remainder of the 6 nations. Have either Crowley @ 10 or Byrne @ 10 in England. The pack got destroyed a fair bit in that game. We were holding on in the end. I would worry about Ireland next weekend. Saying that England didn't do much against Scotland. It might be a close game next week. I think France will win the championship at ease now.

Nope. Poor discipline cost them and a rampant Scots performance that forced the errors

Claiming Borthwick may be in trouble after the form England have been is laughable

Townsend was only under pressure after the score in Italy and he had dropped three British Lions from the backs. His decision was vindicated today with Steyn , who replaced Darcy Graham, putting in a MOTM performance

Didn’t see that performance coming. Fin and Huw Jones magnificent in first half. The only frustration s that they have that in their locker but seldom show it. Still think we need a change of coach.

I like watching six nations rugby, but it's a hard physical game, i dont understand how they can play every week
The contact and smashing each other for 80 minutes must leave you done and dusted with little recovery time

So big up to the big lads chasing that egg around for your country and going again next week

Scotland rose to the occasion and England made too many errors. Scotland should pretend they're playing England every game!

It was a tough ask to play 30 minutes of rugby with 14 men.
Scotland took their chances well, Russell, Steyn and Huw Jones all excellent.
England turning down an easy three points but later trying a drop goal when it was not on. Worst of all was knocking on three times just short of the try line.
All in all a good game to watch.

England's team choice was curious.
Freeman is a decent wing, but not a great centre apart from bulk. Wings aren't often known for passing skills, and it tends to kill wide attacking options.
The bench backs were a scrum-half (fine) and a fly-half. Limited options left when needing to replace a wing. Reports say that Fin Smith came on after the red card expired, but I don't recall hearing his name - I don't think that Marcus Smith is as good as he's claimed to be, but he makes more sense for a 6-2 bench.
I don't think that Pepper/Underhill are blindsides, something all but essential against Scotland.

Agree with this. England were toothless with the ball and didn't look like they knew what to do with it. As a result they just kept kicking possession away, it was really baffling to keep persisting with it. No doubt that the Arundell red stifled any chance of a comeback. I thought his first yellow was harsh but the 2nd was braindead.

The Welsh are giving it a go but they are hopelessly outgunned by France - running on pride and adrenaline the poor bastards - the WRU has killed they game

Not sure many would have lived with France in the first half.
Mistakes conceded some tries, but the speed and invention of France was terrific.

This French team will do this to most of the teams this year. France for me have the best team in the world there so good to watch. Not much weakness. There going to win multiple 6 Nations in the next 5 years.
Ireland is old and in some form of rebuild England can't be trusted to win a 6 Nations there prone to fuck up and the rest apart from Italy are in some sort of decline.

Lowest ever 6n crowd in Cardiff of just under 58,000.
This is what happens when you price out the real fans & instead go after the daytrippers & hangers on.
When times get hard on the field the daytrippers stop going, lesson for City chiefs there.
We were abysmal, nothing much to add to that
