Six Nations

Very good Irish wing. The Irish players were excellent. Earls deserves a mention for being messed about a bit, but played a blinder. Irish player of the Championship in my opinion. Wally was class, DOC was brilliant. Just excellent games from everyone.

But in these recessionary times, and watching a new govt come in here in Ireland, we've gone from a time of dispair to a time of almost hope.
We saw the Late Late show last night (the Irish talk show) and they were doing an Irish culture thing, all Irish, sports stars, literature, business people on the show..etc. But on the break it showed videos of Irish people around the world saying a quick hello to everyone. And it was almost sad.

And in times like this, there's nothing like beating the old enemy. No matter how many things change, no matter how much times pass. There really is nothing like beating England, be it cricket or rugby. Back to simple old times. Nothing really changes.

Well I have an Irish Grandmother and thank you for being so competitive today :)

Ireland were excellent from 1 to 15 today, but every team raises their game against England.

The bigger question is why Ireland were *so* poor everywhere else including at home.

Ireland were pathetic for the majority of the 6 nations, but we all knew that they had this in them. We see it with Munster and Leinster week in week out.
There's still a lot of faults in the team that hopefully wont be painted over with todays performance.
Sexton and ROG, he still doesn't know who his main man is, and I still wouldn't trust Sexton in a tough game, not in a fit. And again while Sexton was good today, he was in a nice position and under little pressure. When he has had his back against the ball he bottled it.
DK's selection has been very questionable with little players stepping up.
The way things were going, it seemed like this world cup would be worse than the last one.

But we finally clicked in our very last game, God only knows why. But whatever needed to happen, happen.

Forgive me ok but there are some cruel truths.

Everyone raises their game against England in everything and it helps us.

EDIT: They couldn't arsed against anyone else and Ireland wont win the the world cup.

Everyone raises their game against you lot?
More like France, or Ireland.
Ireland probably wont win the world cup, England wont, it'll be a SH team. No question about it.
