HMRC also believe the club is insolvent and they want one of two things

1) An immediate winding up order

or

2) A very short adjournment to review Pompeys claim that theres 2 serious interested buyers for the club!

I am starting to believe that Pompey are goners today!
Nah, Fergie will make sure they stay alive to keep his six points.

The decision was due earlier, so this is what you would call "Fergie Time".

We should file a law suit claiming loss of income (perhaps more legal) if this impacts the club not getting a Champions League place and ultimately missing out on a load of cash as a result.

This is sounding increasingly ominous for Pompey. Looks like the best they can hope for is a very short stay of execution. £11.5 million owed to HMRC? Fuck, that's bad.

"SKY sources" are reporting Porstmouth have had their cash offer rejected by the Inland Revenue.

If this is the case, and they got into admin, all results against them will be null and void.

Along with Manure, this will affect us the most and we would drop to about eighth? Liverpool will gain the most.

Didn't we just know there would be some way of fooking up our season.

It's been whispered for a few weeks, but it finally appears Portsmouth could be made an example of.

Do you know this to be a fact?

All of the stories I've read so far about points deductions fail to cite any FA/PL rules and look like simply media scaremongering

Not correct. It was reported over the weekend that the FA had rules in place for exactly this type of occurance. There was an article in the Sunday Mail quoting said rules and I commented to the Mrs that the FA seem to be 'trying to manage expectations by talking about and releasing this information' which is unprecedented really.

Lets hope it doesnt happen (not just for the points deduction ) but for all their supporters.

Well they got 7 days. It is ridiculous to think that with all the money in the Prem a team can go bust! Never have teams had so much money yet been so skint!
